Mr. Atapattu graduated with a Bachelor of Science (Hons.) in Mechanical Engineering from USA and started his career as a Design Engineer with Baker Hughes in Oklahoma. He was then hired by Deutsche Bank in 1996 as part of their graduate training program for bankers and relationship managers.

In 1999 he was headhunted to work for a Middle Eastern Private Family Office in Zurich liaising with their private bankers and investment bankers. In 2001 he was recruited as a VP by Fortis Banque (Suisse) SA, Geneva to build their South East Asia private banking business. He was part of the founding team that set up a branch office in the Dubai International Financial Centre in 2004, which was one of the first asset management licenses issued at the launch of the Dubai International Financial Centre. Mr. Atapattu was later recruited to join Mirabaud's Middle East business as part of their founding team in 2008 as Executive Director where he remained for over 8 years. Mr. Atapattu holds a Master’s Degree in Finance and Strategy from Australia.

Mr. Atapattu set up Patronus Wealth together with Mr. Pawar to take over the existing book of clients built up over 14 years of partnership.

Mr. Pawar started his banking career with Citibank N.A. following which he was part of the founding team at Fortis Banque (Suisse) S.A., formerly known as Banque MeesPierson BGL S.A. where he played an integral part in developing the Southeast Asia business. In 2008 he joined Mirabaud (Middle East) Ltd. as part of their founding team as a Director Private Banking. As a team Mr. Pawar and Mr. Atapattu moved 90% of their relationships in less than one month, when the norm within the industry is under 30% in the span of a year.

Mr. Pawar holds a Bachelor's Degree in Finance and Accounting from India and a Postgraduate Degree in Finance and Strategy from the UK.

Mr. Pawar and Mr. Atapattu set up Patronus Wealth together to cater to their existing book of clients and to provide other bankers and asset managers with a platform that better suits their individual relationship management requirements than what is currently offered by large institutions.
